11-30, 12:45–13:15 (UTC), Nanbield

Learn how to prepare, generate and send code patches in the most convenient way for OpenEmbedded and Yocto Project maintainers. Learn Git tricks to make your own job easier.

The Yocto Project has recently released a new Contributor Guide, consolidating scattered guidelines in the OpenEmbedded and Yocto wikis, as well as in the Yocto Project manuals.

Join this talk to get a summary of how the Yocto Project and OpenEmbedded expect you to contribute code. The presentation will also include tips for using Git efficiently, which will also be useful for contributing to many other open source projects.

So, even if you have already started making open source contributions, you are likely to learn new things about Git and generating patches to make the world a better place.
