How the new devtool ide plugin can simplify application development on the target device and how we are rolling it out at scale.
The presentation provides an introduction to the application development workflow based on the new devtool ide plugin and VSCode. Working with the cross-tool-chain only but also a full integrated workflow with deployment to the target device and remote debugging will be presented.
To put the new workflow somewhat in context, the talk will show how Yocto is used at Siemens and what gap can be closed with the new SDK, the new devtool plugin, and with a shared sstate-cache.
